Social Committee Report
The Highpointe Social Committee has been hard at work creating opportunities for neighbors to come together and enjoy our community.
Within the last year we introduced Highpointe Fun Fridays, and they’ve quickly become a favorite tradition full of vendors, music, food, and great company. From local sweet treats to unique shopping pop-ups, these evenings have given us all something to look forward to each month. We’re excited to keep that momentum going as we wrap up 2025 with even more ways to connect.
In October, Our upcoming Movie Night will be the perfect family-friendly event under the stars with popcorn, food, candy, and plenty of fun. On the 31st, We’ll also celebrate with a Halloween Party, complete with costumes, games, and festive fun for all ages.
December will be extra special as we host new Christmas events, From holiday décor and music to festive gatherings and surprises, this season will be unforgettable.
We hope to bring back BINGO very soon! Stay tuned!
These gatherings are more than events—they’re the heartbeat of our neighborhood and a chance to build lasting friendships.
The Social Committee is dedicated to creating moments that strengthen our neighborhood and make Highpointe a place where community thrives. We’re committed to making Highpointe a vibrant and welcoming place to live. Mark your calendars and join us as we finish 2025 with joy, laughter, and community spirit!

Amenities Committee Report
Our neighborhood has seen some meaningful improvements recently, with several projects completed and more in the works. Most notably, a new fence has been installed around the basketball court to help keep the ball contained, along with fresh nets to enhance play. Regular maintenance continues to ensure that the swimming pool, tennis courts, and fitness center remain clean, safe, and fully operational for all residents. Also, a new elliptical machine has recently been added to our gym.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about upcoming enhancements - including plans to paint and refresh the interior of our clubhouse. A big thank you to everyone who continues to support and contribute to the growth of our community!

Safety First-
Bike, Scooter & Helmet Safety Event
Your Highpointe Social Committee in conjunction with the Hays County Deputy Sheriff and BirdDog Bike Worx held a Bike and Scooter Safety class for children at Highpointe. The safety class was held during the Friday, August 8, “Fun Friday” event at the Amenity Center. Approximately 25 children, with their bikes, scooters and helmets, participated in an obstacle course, and learned specifics about bike and scooter safety. In addition, each child received an equipment inspection by Deputy Salazar, Deputy Davenport and Nathan of BirdDog BikeWorx. A special shout out goes to Hays County Sheriff Deputies, BirdDog BikeWorx and our Social Committee! As an FYI, some very kind Social Committee members personally bought meals for the officers and Nathan, of BikeWorx. A good time was had by all.
Safety First-
Signage & Pavement Marking Improvements
The Highpointe enhanced safety plan was initiated in December 2023. Safety improvements have been completed based on recommendations from BGE, Inc., a retained transportation engineering firm. BGE evaluated our community’s existing signage and pavement markings as they pertain to pedestrian safety and vehicular traffic. The goal is to enhance pedestrian safety. As a result we now have:
Additional and improved pedestrian crosswalks
Added three new stop signs along Cool Spring Way
New granite path along Cool Spring Way for pedestrians
New 25 MPH speed limit signs,
New stop-ahead signs and other street signage all within the Texas code
Safety First -
Line of Sight Project
To create better line of sight for vehicular traffic and promote safe sidewalks for pedestrians, we’ve made a few changes.
added railing along the sidewalk where the road is close
stone block placements to provide a blockade between the road, sidewalk and cul-de-sacs.
sidewalk repairs
sidewalk realignment
Removal of pedestal at the 4 way stop

When Andrea's mom saw a post in the We Are Highpointe Facebook group about the door to the "Little Free Library" being broken, she knew it was something Andrea would want to fix.
-

Using tools and supplies from her dad's garage shop, Andrea removed the door, replaced the plexiglass, and reinstalled.
-

Andrea is a Junior at DSHS and has lived in Highpointe her entire life. In addition to selling cookies and camping, she enjoys volunteering and community service projects. The "Little Free Library" is located next to the playground at the Amenity Center and is available anytime to borrow or donate books.
Amenity Center Pools
Summer has been a great time for you and your family to enjoy Highpointe’s many amenities. Our pools, tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds, gym, play areas, and soccer field are all available for members.
Pool Attendants
You may have noticed, this summer, we hired "The Pool Attendant" company to ensure only members use the facilities, enforce pool rules, keep the area clean, and maintain the pool deck. All attendants are over 18 and trained. They worked from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm., through Labor Day. We also have private patrols and Hays County Sheriff visits to protect the pool, amenity center, and neighborhood, and to enforce community curfew rules.

Projects in the Works
Entry Gates - Gate operation has improved since December. Yet there are and will be glitches that will continue to happen due to age and the number of vehicles entering and exiting our community. We continue to evaluate whether to fix or replace the gates. While the gate structure is sound, its parts wear from the high volume of traffic from homeowners, delivery trucks, service vehicles, visitors, and MUD #5 municipal dump trucks. Gate closure is activated from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please slow down as you drive across the gate tracks, in the interest of safety and wear and tear. Thank you.
Communications - In addition to property manager bulletins, we are introducing a more in depth newsletter to keep you informed.
Reserve Study - An updated Reserve Study will be completed this fall. The results of this study will help prioritize the items in the community that will need attention in 2026.
Download the New Homeowner Mobile App
Would it be more convenient to pay your dues, or request a work order on your mobile phone while away from home? If the answer is yes, you may consider downloading the new “Vantaca Home” mobile App.
1. Go to your mobile phone’s app store and download the “Vantaca Home” App.
2. Once the app is installed on your mobile phone, log-in using the same credentials you use for your portal.

How to Request a Work Order in Your Portal
Instead of calling, emailing or coming into the office, consider sending a work order / repair request through your portal.
Example: If you notice a dark streetlight, get the street pole number (located at approximately 6' up on the pole) and generate a work order request in the portal. Access your member Portal . Once logged in:
1. Select the "Submit a New Request" on the dashboard.
2. Click on "General Request."
3. Select "Work Order" from the dropdown menu.
Please note: To ensure cost-effectiveness, we contract with a lighting vendor to replace streetlight bulbs. Due to the requirement of a special truck, we typically wait until we have a number of work order requests before scheduling service.
