Our Mission
Safety First
The Board recently decided to close the path from Big Sky Cove to the school to keep pedestrians safe and protect the Highpointe POA legally. This was a hard choice that no one wanted because we all value our paths. A BGE report gave three options to improve safety, and not choosing any could lead to costly lawsuits if someone gets hurt. After careful consideration, the Board chose the best option to ensure safety and legal protection for the community.
From the Board of Directors
This has been a great time of year for you and your family to enjoy the many amazing amenities in Highpointe. The fabulous pools, hiking trails, tennis courts, basketball court, playgrounds, work-out room and play-scapes are all ready and waiting for you and your family.
Pool Attendants – PLEASE BRING YOUR FOB TO ENTER
We hired a company called "The Pool Attendant". The pool attendant’s purpose is to ensure only current members use the facilities, enforce pool rules, keep the area clean and maintain the pool deck. All attendants are over 18 and trained for their roles. An attendant is on duty from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. We also have private patrol and random Hays County Sheriff presence. These services protect our very expensive pool complex, amenity center and neighborhood enforce the curfew per the community documents.
New Landscape Company effective July 1 - The landscape committee advises the Board on landscaping, lawn maintenance and irrigation needs. It was determined by the committee and board to make a change. On July 1st, the new company, SunGrow, began making landscape improvements for the community grounds and irrigation. SunGrow is Texas based with 35 plus years in operation.
Sincerely,
Your Highpointe Board

Did you Know?
Our community is 18 years old. During the first 10 years it was controlled by the developer that was onsite 2 days a week. Approximately eight years ago the community eventually changed to a fully built neighborhood with a full time, onsite property management. During this time, the first POA Board was formed using developer bylaws and community handbook. In the past 8 years, we've had two property management companies. While the community is 18 years old, the POA is only 8.
Projects in the Works
Road Repair - The Board is seeking bids and plans for repairing some road areas within Highpointe. We have areas where cracks are growing, and pavement is shifting. We want to stay on top of the repairs before they get worse. You can expect road repairs as one of the next big projects.
Fence for Basketball Court - The basketball court will soon have a fence on three sides. This will allow players to keep the ball in the court and not chase it into the woods. A long awaited addition.
Entry Gates: Gate operation has improved since December. There are and will be glitches that will continue to happen due to age and the number of vehicles entering and exiting our community. We continue to evaluate whether to fix or replace the gates. While the gate structure is sound, its parts wear from the high volume of traffic from homeowners, delivery trucks, service vehicles, visitors, and MUD #5 municipal dump trucks. Gate closure is activated from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please slow down as you drive across the gate tracks, in the interest of safety and wear and tear. Thank you.
Communications: In addition to property manager bulletins, we are implementing a more in depth newsletter to keep you informed.
How to Request a Work Order in Your Portal
Instead of calling, emailing or coming into the office, consider sending a work order / repair request through your portal.
Example: If you notice a dark streetlight, get the street pole number (located at approximately 6' up on the pole) and generate a work order request in the portal. Access your member portal at highpointetx.com Once logged in:
1. Select the "Submit a New Request" on the dashboard.
2. Click on "General Request."
3. Select "Work Order" from the dropdown menu.
Please note: To ensure cost-effectiveness, we contract with a lighting vendor to replace streetlight bulbs. Due to the requirement of a special truck, we typically wait until we have a number of work order requests before scheduling service.
Download the New Homeowner Mobile App
Would it be more convenient to pay your dues, or request a work order on your mobile phone while away from home? If the answer is yes, you may consider downloading the new mobile App.
1. Go to your mobile phone’s app store (iPhone or Android) and download the “Vantaca Home” App.
2. Once the app is installed on your mobile phone, log-in using the same credentials you use for your portal. Working to make it easier for you.
